Working Effectively with Livestock Producers (WELP) Speaker
Request for Proposal 2025

The National Grazing Lands Coalition (NatGLC) is currently in search of a highly qualified educator for the Working Effectively with Livestock Producers course. The ideal presenter will possess a deep understanding of communication strategies, with a focus on addressing personality types, generational differences, and conflict resolution within the context of working with livestock producers. The National Grazing Lands Coalition is dedicated to providing valuable educational opportunities and is seeking an individual who can effectively convey these important concepts to course participants.

The National Grazing Lands Coalition (NatGLC) was established in 1991 as a collaborative effort among various stakeholders, including ranchers, land managers, researchers, and conservationists. The coalition was formed with the mission of promoting and enhancing the management and conservation of the nation's grazing lands. Over the years, NatGLC has played a significant role in advocating for sustainable grazing practices, providing educational resources, and fostering partnerships to address the challenges and opportunities associated with grazing lands. Through its initiatives and outreach efforts, NatGLC has become a respected voice in the grazing community, working to ensure the long-term health and productivity of these vital landscapes.

As a speaker at the Working Effectively with Livestock Producers course, you will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Travel to the location of each 2025 course (conducted throughout the US) to deliver presentations

  • Conduct an all-day presentation on Monday of each course week

  • Be available to meet and collaborate with the National Grazing Lands Coalition (NatGLC) staff to ensure that the needs of the students are met 

  • Tailor the presentation to the needs of technical service providers working with livestock producers

Qualified individuals interested in a speaking position at the Working Effectively with Livestock Producers course are encouraged to submit a proposal outlining how they could meet the needs of the National Grazing Lands Coalition (NatGLC) as outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The proposal must include all 11 sessions, if one or more sessions are not included, your proposal will be not considered.
